Meet the Governors
Lloyd Warren - Chair
I'm a father of three plus one dog and have lived in Brockworth since 2000. At the time of writing my eldest daughter has moved on after completing year 11 at Henley Bank and my other daughter and son have joined year 7. I work for a high street bank in the Risk Oversight team. My primary focus as a governor is child safeguarding due to my experience whilst I was the safeguarding officer at Hucclecote Rugby Club. I'm a big fan of Gloucester Rugby too, when I get spare time I also enjoy cycling and running.

I am a qualified accountant and partner in a local accountancy practice. I have lived in Brockworth for 20 years and now want to give something back to the community which has served myself and my family well. I have a daughter currently at Henley Bank High School and another who left last year. I have witnessed significant change at the school and am looking to use my finance and communication skills as well as my parental knowledge to help the school in its journey of continual improvement. I have been a teacher for over 25 years. I am a Deputy Head at an independent school near Cirencester. I was educated at a comprehensive school in Bristol and have worked in schools in the independent and maintained sector. I am keen to build bridges between schools in the independent and maintained sectors as I believe they have more in common than what makes them different.
In addition to my work in schools, I have worked as a lead assessment writer and principal examiner. I have written and been responsible for papers at both GCSE and A Level. I also work for Ofqual on a consultancy basis as an external expert.
Having two daughters of junior school age, I am very aware of a parent’s perspective to schooling and the need for partnership. I value wellbeing so make sure we have family time and I look after myself by keeping fit and finding time to enjoy hobbies.
After graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering I started my working life as a Design Engineer. After about 4 years I moved into the IT sector which is where I stayed for the rest of my career in a range of IT leadership roles in supplier, integrator and end user organisations. Following retirement I have looked for volunteer opportunities in which I can use my skills and knowledge to positive effective.
As a Henley Bank School Trustee Governor I am looking forward to challenging and supporting the school on it’s improvement journey.
My name is Tess Deighton and I am the clerk for the Local Governing Body of Henley Bank High School and two other Greenshaw Learning Trust schools. I joined Greenshaw Learning Trust in September 2019 and am looking forward to supporting Henley Bank High School on its journey of continued improvement. I live in Monmouthshire with my husband and two sons and enjoy walking, swimming and musical theatre.
