Bronze Duke of Edinburgh
A very successful weekend again! With 8 teams on the ground, Henley Bank had more students completing their Bronze expedition this weekend than any other GLT school, but our 6 staff volunteers were incredible to make sure every part ran as smoothly, as successfully, and as safely as possible.
The vast majority of our Year 9 students showed determination and ambition to push themselves out of their comfort zone and complete their expeditions. Their confidence in navigation was impressive and most groups stayed on track for the whole weekend! We also saw more examples of respect than we can count (for their team, for the environment, for the public) as well as some creativity in meal choices (crunchy noodles) and pathfinding (not following a path).
